Danica-Crossing the Line by Danica Patrick (Fireside Publishing, 2006)

Mrs. Moen, I’d like you to meet Danica Patrick.  Danica is a 25 year old who was born in Roscoe, Illinois.  When Danica was little she was a real snot.  Danica started racing when she was nine years old.  Now Danica spends most of her time on or by a racetrack.  On Thanksgiving of 2004 her boyfriend asked her if she would marry him.  Danica was so shocked it took her awhile to answer.  In May 2005 Danica was excited about racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time in an IRL car.  Danica started the race in fourth place and she led a few laps toward the end of the race and with six laps to go she was passed by Dan Wheldon.  Danica then ended up finishing the race in fourth place.   In 2005 Danica was rookie of the year and ended up being on TV shows like the Late Show with David Letterman, Pardon the Interruption, and about every other TV show except Jay Leno.
